: Eternally WED :

Our love story...(Stoye's version)
Amber and I "met" in an unconventional way.  While teaching at Franklin-Simpson High School, I met Amber as any other student.  We talked often throughout the years about many different things, usually Amber's boyfriends or school or family.  While it was simply a teacher and student talking, it eventually grew into knowing a lot about one another without any sort of complicated relationship stuff involved.  After graduation, I asked Amber if she wanted to see if we could go out.  With her parents approval, we went on our first date to play tennis at a local park in Bowling Green.  We had fun and from that moment on the very unexpected and unconventional beginning of our relationship grew.  I have heard that love will come right about when you're not looking for it, and so was the case with Amber and me.

I feel as though our first date wasn't that long ago and its actually coming up on 5 years! To put a love so complex in a simple expression - Stoye is my perfect man. I will never forget our first date, our first kiss, the sweet moments he surprised me with, our first vacation in Clearwater, FL, or how much he has loved me through everything we've been through. He's perfect (he'll deny the perfection) for me.

2008
As I mentioned we took our first vacation in Clearwater, FL.
After we were engaged (you can find the proposal story H E R E) we discussed locations for the wedding. As we have a significant gap in our ages, most of Stoye's closest friends are married. We took in all of their advice if they had the opportunity to do their wedding over again - we came to a very mutual decision to get married on the BEACH! Can you guess where?? :)

July 9, 2011 we exchanged our personal vows to one another with 25 of our closest friends and family on Sand Key Beach in Clearwater, FL. The day's weather predictions were 40% chance of rain & cloudy - just enough to make you cringe. We were determined to have an outdoor wedding - rain or shine.

Stephen Rudd & Lisa were amazing. Please check out their website!

blessed. These people made our dream come true!

Beautiful people!

The Lord BLESSED us beyond belief. It was the most beautiful setting and sunset I had ever seen! Our wedding coordinator Julie @ Florida Beach Wedding Ceremonies made everything go smoothly & stress-free. I cannot thank her and her husband enough for doing all they did.

I can honestly say it was everything I had dreamed of. Not one thing would I change about the week we were there prior to the wedding with our friends and family, the wedding or the Florida mini-reception. Have I said perfect yet?

We come home from 'honeymoonin'' in Aruba @ Divi All-Inclusive (highly recommend)to an actual reception with the rest of our family and friends to celebrate our marriage. We took advantage of the local Knicely Center at WKU. They couldn't have been more helpful throughout the entire process.
Dinner on the beach for the honeymooners!

Posing with "baby bridge"

It was such a fun night to cap our incredible month of bliss to begin our marriage.
We smushed our MOH & best man instead :)
I will treasure this forever.

Reggie Beehner was our amazing photographer that night - he was the most kind & accommodating photographer I've met!!
I hope & pray each man & woman finds a person who fills their heart every single day from the love they share with one another, like Stoye and I.

As Stoye's Granny said to her husband, "I married a Young so I could stay Young forever" :)

Oh - how awesome is this - we chose 7.9.11 without realizing the significance of the date!
We started dating in 2007
Stoye proposed in 2009
We married in 2011
